Here’s How Kendall Jenner And Bella Hadid Celebrate International Women’s Day

by Samantha McDonald

Women across the country are wearing red, abstaining from shopping (except at women- and minority-owned local businesses) and even taking the day off as part of a national strike, A Day Without A Woman, in support of International Women’s Day. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are making a statement, too, by affirming women’s rights in a new video that’s making the rounds on social media. From models and influencers to designers and editors, fashion’s biggest names come together in a powerful clip for W magazine similar to its “I am an immigrant” declaration. Alexa Chung, Hailey Baldwin, Donna Karan and Carine Roitfeld are among the faces that collectively proclaim “I am a woman,” “Please respect yourself” and “Respect women.” Even male industry leaders like actor Edgar Ramírez, rapper Travis Scott and designer Pierre Hardy appear, asserting that “Women’s rights are human rights” and “Men and women have to fight together.” It’s an important message in this day and age, and we’re glad these celebs are making their voices heard.
