If there’s any indication George Clooney will make one heck of a father, it’s this. The actor and humanitarian was notably absent at the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity ceremony in Yerevan, Armenia, for a pretty valid reason: He refused to fly far from the coop ahead of wife Amal’s expected June due date.
In a taped clip for the audience, the selection committee co-chair apologized for missing the event, admitting that he’s currently keeping travel plans local as he and Amal await their twins’ arrival.
“I really would have been [in Yerevan], but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home,” the soon-to-be dad joked. Cheeky.
Sounds like George clearly knows where to put his priorities, and we’re sure Amal is relieved to have him by her side during their final days as a family of two.
