With homes in England, Italy and California, it was about time George and Amal Clooney found a place in New York City, so it’s no surprise that the power couple has reportedly purchased a luxury apartment at the 100 East Fifty Third Street building that is set to open next year. While they didn’t opt for the penthouse (listed at an eye-opening $65 million), the Clooneys scored a high-floor residence in the skyscraper, which will also house a fine dining restaurant, gourmet marketplace and amenities like a ballet room and 60-foot sunlit swimming pool. Bonus points for Amal: The site is within walking distance of the United Nations.
