4 SAG Nominees We Sometimes Pretend Are Our Husbands

by Erin Bunch

Though it’s undeniable that we live in a man’s world, awards season generally tends to center around its women. We’re obviously partial to the fashion portion of the program in which they’re generally highlighted, but for some reason this Sunday’s SAG Awards carpet had us focused on the men. Four of them, specifically, who are on our dream date list. Click through for some swoon-worthy SAG hunks we’re adding to our secret Pinterest vision boards ASAP. (Don’t be scared, boys… even though we want to have a million of your babies, stat.)

Dev Patel

We first fell in love with Dev in Slumdog Millionaire but unfortunately for us, so did the insanely gorgeous Freida Pinto. That relationship sadly came to an end nearly two years ago, so we don't think we're breaking the girl code by admitting our current crush. At Sunday's ceremony, Dev was nominated for his supporting role in Lion, which is based on an incredible true story that will move you to tears.

Riz Ahmed

If you're anything like us, you watched the entirety of The Night Of in one sitting. The story was compelling but so too was lead Riz Ahmed, whose character we couldn't help but crush on even as we wondered whether or not he was a murderer. Fun fact: Riz is also a rapper whose work featured in the Hamilton Mixtape.

Rami Malek

We've had a crush on Mr. Robot lead Rami for some time now, which only just doubled when we found out he (miraculously?) has a twin brother. He was nominated last year for the same award he's up for tonight, and though he didn't win then he did secure a 2016 Emmy win. We may or may not have watched his acceptance speech in slow motion a few dozen times that night, a pleasurable pastime we hope to recreate tonight over wine and Domino's.

Mahershala Ali

Mahershala is married and we mean no disrespect to his wife by including him in this roundup, as a girl's allowed to dream, right? His performance in Moonlight was so nuanced and affecting that we think he's a shoo-in for tonight and likely for an Oscar win as well. #SAGSoSteamy
