#1989TourLA: Who Taylor Swift Should Welcome To The Stage

by Kristi Mikesky

With Taylor Swift’s LA tour dates approaching, the buzz at RZHQ is all about who the pop star will introduce as special guests during her 5-night residency at the Staples Center (which many of us are attending, obviously). By now, you’ve probably caught wind of the laundry list of Hollywood who’s who that have already joined her on-stage thus far, ranging from model besties Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid to Tay’s self-proclaimed heroes Julia Roberts and Joan Baez. (As such, an epic parody of the ongoing spectacle has gone viral on YouTube.) But given that the City of Angels is where many of her powerhouse pals call home, we think her most epic lineup of cameos is yet to come. Here, our ultimate wish list of her 1989 World Tour’s LA squad.

The Sure Bets

Selena Gomez

A leading lady in the "Bad Blood" video, Selena has been noticeably missing from the tour thus far—it's only a matter of time before she hits the stage (plus, she's basically confirmed LA will be the location of choice).

Hailee Steinfeld

A minted member of the "Bad Blood" squad with a just-released single under her belt, we anticipate a cameo—and even a duet with Taylor, perhaps?—from Hailee.

The Hopefuls

Hilary Duff

An outspoken Swifty, fellow blonde Hilary Duff would make a great addition to the on-stage crew—if not on account of her now-signature "windmill" dance move alone.

Madonna

Madge has recently hinted that she plans to perform with Taylor at an upcoming show—if that doesn't scream an LA cameo, we don't know what does.

Behati Prinsloo

Fellow members of Taylor's model posse (think: Karlie, Gigi, Lily and the like) have made multiple appearances on the 1989 stage-cum-catwalk—we think a second cameo from Behati in her home base would be only fitting.

Nicki Minaj

Now that they've buried the hatchet from their brief feud earlier this year, we couldn't think of a better reconciliation than a public love-fest for all the world to see.

The Long-Shots

Britney Spears

From one pop queen to another—we'd love nothing more than seeing some choreography or a "welcome to the stage" moment from Britney (who just took home the Style Icon title at this weekend's Teen Choice Awards).

Hillary Clinton

Because all that's missing from Taylor's current squad is a presidential candidate.

Meryl Streep as Ricki Rendazzo

Given Meryl's icon status and her new starring role as a rock 'n' roller in Ricki and the Flash, an appearance—nay, a performance—at Taylor's concert would break the Internet.

Leo Thames (Jaime King's newborn son)

Aka Taylor's godson—repping the lower end of the age spectrum, we're just saying that an appearance in a golden bassinet doesn't seem totally out of the question.

"Welcome To The Stage..."

The viral video we can't stop watching—prepare yourself for tears (of laughter).
