The Best Looks From Chanel’s London Party

by Sari Anne Tuschman

When Chanel calls, pretty much everyone fabulous picks up, as evidenced by who turned out for the opening of the new Mademoiselle Prive exhibit at London’s Saatchi Gallery last night. The show— which opens to the public today—explores all things Chanel while paying homage to Coco Chanel herself as well as the French house’s current creative director and fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. The exhibit essentially walks the viewer through Chanel’s mind-boggling creativity, celebrating Coco’s first-ever jewelry collection, the haute couture collections, the atelier, Chanel No. 5 and the label’s signatures—such as the camellia flower and pearls—and much, much more. There are also several stunning photographs of some of the house’s A-list muses—Kristen Stewart, Keira Knightley and Lily-Rose Depp among them—all shot by Lagerfeld. The massive, 3-D exhibition naturally drew an A-list crowd to its opening soiree, including Rita Ora, Julianne Moore, Jemima Kirke, Stella Tennant, Lily Collins and both Depp and her mother, Vanessa Paradis. We rounded up some of the most fabulous looks from the glamorous evening. If you can’t get to London before the show closes November 1, at least you can click through and live vicariously for a fashion-filled moment or two.
