A Fashion Girl’s Glamorous Guide To Capri

In the latest installment of “our friends taking FOMO-inducing summer vacations,” Elle Accessories Director Maria Dueñas Jacobs really raises the bar. She recently traveled to the island of Capri in Italy, sending us postcards of rosé-filled lunches and boating exursions across pristine turquoise waters—all of which made us want to bite the bullet and buy a flight for ourselves. If you too are craving a glamorous Italian getaway (who isn’t?), bookmark Maria’s fashion girl-approved recommendations.

What To Wear

"For my recent trip, I packed Petit Bateau T-shirts, American Apparel bodysuits, Celine skirts, Altuzarra dresses, Gianvito Rossi stacked heels and Eres bikinis."

Where To Stay

"This time around, I stayed at the Caesar Augustus, which sits atop a nearly 1,000-foot-high cliff. Other beautiful hotels on the island include JK Place, Tiberio Palace and Casa Morgano."

Where To Eat

"Fontelina and Il Riccio are the best beach clubs to enjoy a long lunch. For dinner, I love Da Paolino, Aurora and E' Divino."

Where To Grab A Drink

"Anema E Core the best spot for a fun night on the island."

What To Do

"Boat trips around the island and to the Grotta Azzurra sea cave are spectacular—the water is so blue. The Villa San Michele is gorgeous—it's a typical Capri villa that's now a museum. I also recommend taking the funicular railway up to Anacapri, as well as going into town, shopping and just walking around! You can discover so much on foot."
