Kendall Jenner’s Dermatologist Says This Shower Mistake Can Cause Body Acne

When it comes to showering, we typically lather up and rinse off while our conditioner is soaking in. That 5-to-10-minute window (20 if you’re deep-conditioning) is the perfect amount of time to cater to washing, scrubbing, shaving, etc. But according to Kendall Jenner’s skincare guru, Christie Kidd, this order of operations can actually be doing more harm than good.

If you’re experiencing body acne on your back and chest, it may be a result of your shower routine. Waiting to rinse your hair until you’ve already rinsed off your body wash means the conditioner residue can linger on your skin. In a video on Kendall’s official app and website, Christie suggests rinsing off all hair products first, then moving on to wash and rinse your body. The simple switch can prevent body acne and save you time, money and worry each and every time you shower.
