Her reputation as a sought-out makeup artist of A-listers and award ceremony frequenters makes her the ideal candidate to dish out a batch of best-kept beauty secrets for prepping, priming and extending a gorgeous complexion fit for a red carpet debut.

Prep Your Skin

"I begin by cleansing the skin. Before an event I encourage a facial routine to excavate any pores and smooth the skin’s surface ready for makeup. The day of application is not the day for intensive cleansing as it aggravates the skin. A few hours before, I will use a Clarisonic combined with a little of Sarah Chapman’s Ultimate Cleanse to buff the skin of any dry skin cells. I follow by flooding the complexion with moisture by applying some of my fabulously nourishing Magic Cream."
Create A Flawless Base
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, $45
"I start by prepping the skin with my magic cream. I then use a lightweight liquid foundation to provide an illuminating canvas for makeup. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is perfect for a flawless, natural finish. Powder is key to sealing a flawless base. Use it on the T-Zone area, the forehead, down the nose and on the chin. I like to leave the cheekbones free of powder so that they really catch the light of the cameras on the red carpet."
You want a powder that isn’t too light reflecting. You have to be careful when using HD powders as camera flashes can make it stand out on the face and draw attention to areas where it has been used.

"Next, I contour with a bronzer. Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust leaves the skin warm and golden, like that perfect Mediterranean tan. I use a big bronzing brush to sweep the product over areas where the sun would naturally fall."
