Why Voters Are Wearing This Red Nail Polish To The Polls

by Andrea Marie

The 2016 presidential election has been unconventional in more ways than one—this year even brought a record-breaking amount of voters to the polls. With social media playing such a huge role in our daily lives, it’s no surprise voters are showing their support on Instagram and Twitter for the candidate of their choice. While the fashion crowd is wearing white in support of Hillary Clinton and the suffragettes, the beauty community is getting a bit more colorful. #ImWithHer hopefuls are casting their vote whilst wearing a commanding red polish, part of OPI’s Washington D.C. collection in a shade appropriately named ‘Madam President’.

While in many states you may not be legally allowed to share a selfie posing with your ballot, a manicure is a totally acceptable (and chic!) way of showing your presidential allegiance. Other red shades in the collection include ‘We The Female‘ and ‘By Popular Vote‘, which also fit the bill.
