Nail Art Inspired By The Fall 2015 Collections

by Stephanie Montes

If you were as inspired by the fall 2015 runway collections as we were, chances are you can’t wait to wear next season’s hottest trends. However, unless you have unlimited funds and an agenda of fabulous events on the horizon, investing in a whole new wardrobe might not be feasible. Here, we teamed up with LA-based nail salon Olive & June to create 6 nail art looks inspired by our favorite designer shows. Now you can have a piece of the collection without emptying out your entire life savings.

A pattern that is bold and graphic works best in a muted color palette. These shades are universally flattering for all skin tones and the 3-quarter color blocking is perfect to recreate by even the most intimidated nail art rookie.

Just because summer is behind us, doesn't mean we can't play with a mix of pretty pastel shades. Get a mod nail art look by painting vertical chartreuse rectangles on light peach nails. The look is simple to recreate but packs a big punch.

If you prefer the look of a black and white color combo, thick stripes and checkers instantly elevate your look. Play with the placement of shapes and find a combo that works for your skill level.

A retro take on the classic leopard print feels fresh with a mix of pastels and traditional fall shades. Get the look by painting haphazard oblong shapes on all nails with a light yellow polish and tracing with a deep brown shade.

Any look that incorporates an eye-catching print with shiny bronze sequins is bound to turn heads. Start with a glitter base and paint on a similar motif in black polish along the base of a single nail.

We love the juxtaposition of the jagged color blocking against the crisp red stripes. Give nude nails a refreshing pop of color with a bright red polish. Since the design incorporates so many elements, limit yourself to 2 nails max.
