YSL’s Cult-Favorite Touche Éclat Now Comes In Bright White, And We’re Not Sure How We Feel About It

by Stephanie Montes

When you think of cult beauty products, YSL’s Touche Éclat highlighting pen is sure to come to mind—but the beloved product just got a major makeover, and we’re not sure it’ll be as user-friendly as their OG golden hues. The new snow-white formula, housed in a distinct silver pen, is designed to bring light to the high points of your face without imparting a heavy shimmer. While we like the idea of a sans-glitter highlighter, we fear we will soon experience a sea of white cheekbones in our local Sephoras (and on Instagram). Judging by these swatches, the opaque white highlighter blends nicely, but we’re not sure how the stark shade will look on all skin tones—not to mention in photos! But you can’t really knock it until you try it, and based on the wild popularity of the other ten colors of Touche Éclat, this one is likely destined for greatness too. You can buy the new strobing pen at YSL for $38.
