Lily Aldridge Proves That Green Eyeliner Is Totally Wearable

by Andrea Marie

Lily Aldridge has made a name for herself as a natural-faced beauty. The model keeps her makeup light and fresh, but when she wants to make a statement she knows exactly how to do it. At this year’s Met Gala, Lily took her makeup to the next level by wearing sparkling gold glitter on her eyebrows. At the launch of beauty icon Pat McGrath’s Skin Fetish highlighter duo, Lily’s cheekbones shined bright enough that you could spot her from a mile away. We also shouldn’t fail to mention how many times she’s made us double tap her Instagram photos when she’s rocking bold red or dark brown lips in flawless selfies.

It was only a matter of time before Lily surprised us again, and this time her eyes were the bold focus of her makeup look. She was spotted in NYC with fellow Victoria’s Secret models Stella Maxwell and Elsa Hosk wearing bright green “snakeskin” eyeliner. Lily’s makeup artist, Vincent Oquendo, is responsible for this cool phenomenon. Earlier this week, he created the look on model Ashley Graham and also shared with Allure exactly how to give your eyes this green, three-dimensional effect. Vincent told Allure that his snakeskin eyeliner effect is actually created with snakeskin fabric and lash glue. In order to create the perfect winged shape you’ll need eyeliner stencils, but he told Allure that he creates his own.

If you’re not the artsy type and prefer actual eyeliner to stencils, the products below will get the job done.
