CoverGirl is making a conscious effort to make the beauty industry more inclusive, and its latest campaign proves so once again. Nura Afia is already a well-known beauty blogger and makeup artist on Instagram and YouTube. She has become an inspiration thanks to her makeup looks featuring her hijab, and representing Muslim beauty lovers everywhere. CoverGirl has officially tapped her to be part of their newest campaign for its So Lashy! mascara, making this another huge effort towards representation and diversity in beauty.
Last month, CoverGirl announced their first ever male ambassador, vlogger James Charles, and Nura’s appointment is another step forward for the brand. She also joins the ranks of musical duo Chloe + Hallie, DJ and actress Amy Pham, Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, and Katy Perry.
