This Best-Selling Eyebrow Product Was Just Recalled

by Andrea Marie

If you’re obsessed with good eyebrows, you’ve likely tried every cult-favorite product under the sun, including Benefit’s Gimme Brow. The formula is a star among makeup junkies thanks to its taming abilities and pigment. So it came as quite a shock today when Benefit announced it’s recalling the popular item because recent batches weren’t quite up to snuff. However, the brand clarified it is a voluntary recall out of caution.

The official statement reads: “Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers. Out of an abundance of caution, we have initiated a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that certain batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards.” A spokesperson for Benefit also urged customers to return their tubes as soon as possible to receive a full refund. Gimme Brow is no longer available for purchase on benefitcosmetics.com and is no longer found on either Ulta.com or Sephora.com. Benefit is currently working with retailers to remove the product from retail locations, and it hopes to bring it back as soon as possible.

We’re already feeling the separation anxiety kick in.
