To challenge one’s played-out beauty routine, there is no better place to seek out ideas than the runways! For today’s story, we did exactly that and found ourselves instantly inspired by the playful, punchy stares seen at Dries Van Noten, Prabal Gurung and 3.1 Phillip Lim. Turning the mic over to Joey Maalouf, the makeup maestro breaks down his pro-tips below to help you get the over-the-top look!

How To Get A Dries Fan Noten Stare:

1. Start with a fresh face by applying a tinted moisturizer, which will even out the skin tone. For a sheer application, apply with your fingertips and really work it into the skin, or if you want more coverage, use a beauty blender.

2. With a powder brush, apply MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to matte out the skin. This will de-shine the skin and make the eye makeup more impactful.

3. Select a bright orange multi-purpose high pigment cream, like OCC Lip Tar in True Neon Orange (the cream base will allow you to apply and blend the shadow quickly). Using your fingertip, apply the color from lash line to brow bone, blending slightly into your eyebrow. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it should be the same shape on both eyes.

4. Apply a nude lipstick to neutralize your lip color and make the eyes stand out even more.
