2 Easy Braids To Try This Weekend
Believe it or not, for many Coachella is just getting started (lest you forget there is second weekend that also sells out). If you’re in search of a creative ‘do for round two or are just all about hairstyles that don’t require products or hot tools, we have two braids that are well worth trying. Featuring festival-ready accessories from scünci, these creative plaits are sure to last from morning until night—no matter how much dancing (or weekend lounging) is on your agenda.

Saturday: Flower Child
Step 1: Create a deep side part and smooth hair with a comb.
Step 2: Create 3 small sections at the front and begin making a French braid.

Step 3: Braid the entire section until you reach the nape of the neck.
Step 4: Secure at the nape with bobby pins, crossing them for added security. Bring hair in front of the opposite shoulder.

Step 5: Pull pieces apart to make the braid look thicker.
Step 6: Pin a few roses above the braid for a romantic, boho feel.

Sunday: Coachella Crown
Step 1: Separate hair into 3 sections–1 in the center and 1 on each side. Hold in place with clips or a hair tie.

Step 2: Starting on one side of the center section create a reverse French braid by crossing sections under each other, instead of over.

Step 3: Continue braiding all the way around.

Step 4: Once you hit the starting point, braid the ends and wrap them under the crown. Pin to secure.
