How To Get The Best Hair With Cleansing Oil

by Stephanie Montes

2014 was the year of the cleansing oil–beauty junkies everywhere stocked up on the miracle product that cleansed faces, without leaving them dry or irritated. Fast-forward to now where we’re doing the same to our hair with the same product (okay, it’s not actually the same, this one is meant for our locks). Enter the cleansing oil shampoo that removes product buildup and sweat (and yes, even oils) without leaving your hair dry or greasy.

Cleansing Oil Shampoo, Shu Uemura, $57

How it works: We like to lather, rinse and repeat. The first wash never seems to suds up a whole lot (this is where it works to break down all the grime on our scalps), but the second time around it works into a creamy lather and nourishes hair. When rinsing, tangles seem to fall right out and hair feels soft and the best part is we can skip the conditioner when we're in a pinch. Now our hair looks shinier and healthier in half the time. What's better than that?
