When we think of broth, the first thing that comes to mind is soup: a liquid consumed on a sick day or during winter, when cold foods just aren’t cutting it. It turns out that a certain type of broth has a good amount of antiaging properties in each single serving. Bone broth has become a favorite amongst celebrities who’ve fought fine lines and wrinkles by sipping on cups of it. Both Salma Hayek and Gwyneth Paltrow have advocated for the bone-infused concoction.

Bone broth is great for the elasticity of the skin because it’s full of collagen, which leads to more supple texture. Chicken, beef or lamb bones can be simmered for a couple hours in order to get all the necessary antiaging nutrients. It also contains loads of calcium and magnesium, both of which tend to fall off from our everyday diets. The next time your skin is looking slightly dull or if you’re just looking to pick up a new antiaging routine, consider incorporating some bone broth into your meal plan for a quick boost.
