Manicure Idea: Color Blocked
Butter London's Katie Jane Hughes opted for half-moons AND french-tips at Tadashi Shoji, creating a color-block effect. Applying a bronze polish in all the right places, only required a clean topcoat to complete the look.

Manicure Idea: Asymmetric Angles
Naomi Yasuda for Essie filled opening Ceremony’s line-up with asymmetrical nail designs. After applying a base coat to all nails, apply a taupe polish to the pinky on the left hand and ring finger on the right hand. Next, apply polish at a diagonal angle across each additional nail. Each nail should have a different color to natural nail ratio. Photo: Courtesy of Essie
Manicure Idea: Golden Girl
To tie in the gold accents at Naeem Khan, Essie manicurist Julie Kandalec created a luxe nail by layering two gold favorites: Good as Gold and Shifting Power, then sealed with a top coat. Photo: Courtesy of Essie
Manicure Idea: Achromatic
When in doubt, just go with classic black and white. But for some extra oomph, take notes from nail guru Jin Soon Choi, of JINsoon, who created a modern interpretation of the classic French manicure. Apply 2 coats of a metallic black polish and finish off the look with thin white crescents along the tips. Photo: Courtesy of JINsoon
Manicure Idea: Colored Cuticles
Michelle Saunders for Essie created an "inverted French manicure" for DKNY. To get this design, begin with a sheer base coat followed by a single coat of white lacquer. Next, apply a dark gray polish, leaving a thin arc around the entire base of the nail. Finish off with a matte top coat. Photo: Courtesy of Essie
Manicure Idea: Next-To-Nothing Nude
Manicure Idea: 30/70
Michelle Saunders for Essie created a three quarter look for Nanette Lepore by applying a berry-colored nail polish on the entire nail and a pewter shade over the first layer, but only one third of the right side of the nail. Simple but impactful.

Manicure Idea: Barely-There Dots
Jin Soon Choi, of Jin Soon created a soft, earthy nail for Tibi by layering a white polka dot lacquer (this coat creates a scattered, organic dot) over two coats of a pinkish nude polish. Photo: Courtesy of JINsoon
Manicure Idea: Embellished
Michelle Saunders for Essie created a luxe feel by embellishing both ring fingers at Jenny Packham. Begin by applying a subtle natural pink lacquer on all nails. Then, on ring fingers only, use small nail art brush and a ruby polish to create a circle with smaller circles around it in the middle of the nail to create a scalloped edge. Continue by dabbing gold colored dots around the center circle. Finish the look by creating rays around the center with a blue glitter polish. Photo: Courtesy of Essie
