Isn’t that final coat of moisturizer the best part of any skin care routine? It sure seems that way for celebrities. Every time fans spot an especially radiant complexion on the red carpet or a supple-looking no-makeup selfie, it’s the first question everyone wants to know — what products are you using? For A-listers, the answers are surprisingly vast and varied. The moisturizers celebrities swear by range from eye-wateringly expensive creams that cost double your car note to all-time drugstore classics you might have on your bathroom counter this very minute.

Unlike so many other shoppable categories, stars seem to be fine using any kind of moisturizer they feel actually works, regardless of if it’s dermatologist- or esthetician-prescribed, plant-derived, ultra-pricy, or available at every corner store in America. Just look at the luminous visages of Gabrielle Union or Nicole Kidman — would you guess that their favorites clock in under the $20 mark?

It’s actually pretty encouraging to think about. With every possible resource at their disposal, most of these star-approved products are relatively attainable. So even if you can’t quite swing a chemical peel or high-tech laser du jour, you still have a chance at getting dewy, radiant skin in time for the New Year ahead. Ahead, 10 cult-classic moisturizers celebrities absolutely adore.

Roberts’ dewy, luminous complexion might be worth millions, but it is actually thanks to a product in a much more accessible price range. The star’s raved about the power of Weleda Skin Food, a time-tested favorite prized for its plant-derived formula. She told InStyle (later reported by Us Weekly) that she wrings the little green tube out to grab every last drop.

Part classic moisturizer, part skin-smoothing primer, Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream is a Kardashian go-to fit for the whole family. It’s particularly cherished by youngest sister Khloe, who told People all about how well skin absorbs the formula — it’s “literally magic!” she said.

Tracee Ellis Ross

Ross is most known for her incredible hair (and her infectiously bubbly personality), but her skin is right up there on the list of things that make her absolutely enviable. The Pattern Beauty founder shared her skin care routine with Marie Claire back in May 2021, and it includes Biologique Recherche’s Le Grande Crème. In fact, she uses it after applying a serum from the same brand.

Victoria Beckham

So special is Beckham’s relationship with Augustinus Bader skin care that she created a full-fledged collaboration between the brand and her self-owned beauty line. The pair go way back, with Beckham telling her TikTok followers that she uses The Rich Cream “everyday.”

Nicole Kidman

No matter how much wealth the accrue, some celebrities will always stick to their drugstore skin care roots. Kidman says she loves the OG Aquaphor formula because, as she explained to Allure, “it costs nothing and it's amazing for dry skin, which I have.” Even royalty like Meghan Markle uses it, according to her makeup artist Daniel Martin.

Gabrielle Union

Dermatologists have been known to recommend this cult-classic and super-affordable drugstore brand for sensitive skin types, and of course Union is already tapped in. There are plenty variations on the brand’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion available, but the original formulation is always a crowd-pleaser.

Jennifer Lopez

People have been hounding Lopez for her true skincare routine for decades and yet she still keeps that coveted morning routine a secret. One thing we do know for sure is that the singer loves a bit of Dr. Hauschka's Rose Day Cream, which she revealed on her Watch What Happens Live appearance a few years ago.

Michelle Yeoh

Not only is Yeoh a massive La Mer fan, but she’s its biggest evangelist. A longtime lover of the legendary face cream, 2023 saw Yeoh team up with the brand for a series of promotional ads and commercials that put her incredible complexion on serious display.

Ciara

Ciara is a natural beauty through and through — her bare face selfies on Instagram are proof enough. The singer actually uses Murad’s Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 to tease out all that radiance. “There’s so many levels to skincare, especially for Black women, she told TZR back in October 2019. “I use the Murad Essential-C Day Moisturizer along with some of the Skinceuticals products I've received, and it's done wonders for my skin.”

Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber has mastered the art of an effortless glow and it’s partially thanks to this moisture-rich product that provides a long lasting water based hydration, skin structure barrier protection, with anti-aging skin firming peptides. The other part is probably just good genes though. Along with her Rhode products, Bieber loves this moisturizer — she’s been singing its praises on YouTube for years.
